Playgroup, Anyone?

Image
Announcing the inaugural 1st Tuesday of the Month LLL playgroup! We'll be at Parkovash Park just south of the intersection of Angela Blvd. and Michigan St. on May 1 at 10am, (if it's raining or too cold, how about the Chocolate Cafe!)   Even if your baby is too young to climb and run, just put them in t he sling or stroller and come anyway! Playgroups are meant for Mama sanity just as much (if not more!) than for baby socialization:) See you Tuesday!

Meeting on the 4th Tuesday Too!

We are piloting an additional meeting date and location beginning tomorrow! If you are interested in joining us, we'll be at the Women's Care Center at 360 N. Notre Dame Ave, where it intersects with La Salle at 10am. Hope to see you there!

Nursing Toddlers!

Image
Although each nursing couple is unique, one thing I can say for certain is that all breastfeeding relationships change and progress as time goes on. At next week's morning meeting we'll chat about nursing our babies into toddlerhood, and all the amusing and at times frustrating things that go with it! Respectful and gradual weaning is something we often think about at this stage, as well as breastfeeding while trying to conceive another baby, during pregnancy, and even tandem nursing when the new one comes along. And we always make space for any other concerns or questions you may have! See you Tuesday, April 17 @10am Sunnyside Presbyterian Church 115 S. Frances St. South Bend, IN 46617

Childbirth and Breastfeeding

La Leche League philosophy states "Alert and active participation by the mother in childbirth is a help in getting breastfeeding off to a good start". In what ways did your childbirth experience affect your breastfeeding experience? Come share your experiences on Tuesday, April 10 at 7pm , River Park Branch library. As always, your questions, concerns and stories of success are welcome.
