La Leche League of South Bend

April 1 is next Tuesday--no fooling! And so our monthly playgroup will be at 10:15 at the downtown library. It opens at 10 if you'd like to to pop upstairs to borrow books and toys before heading down to the Humphrey's Room where our host Olivia and other LLL mamas and babes will be gathering. Those of you with tiny babies or those still in utero, please know that this playgroup is for you too! Mamas and babies can't breastfeed alone! We need a support network of those closest to us to help us make sure we are cared for as we care for our babies. Dads and other Partners can protect us from criticism, keep us fed, help us get help if and when we need it, and be our biggest cheerleaders during tough times. At our next meeting we'll share experiences and wishes for how we can create the most breastfeeding-friendly team between ourselves, our babies, and the other adults in our lives.  As always, we will have room for your breastfeeding questions, concerns, and successes.  What do you love about wearing your baby or toddler? What type of carrier have you always wanted to try? Is there a tricky back or side carry you need demonstrated? At the next La Leche League meeting some of the more experienced babywearers in our group will be ready to demonstrate and assist with hands-on practice. Bring your carriers and try ours! We'll have ring slings, pouches, knit & woven wraps, soft structured carriers, and more. Join other mothers and babies on Tuesday, March 11 at 7 pm,  River Park Branch library to discuss fussy babies.  What techniques have you learned on how to calm you baby?  How has breastfeeding helped you with this.  Come discuss this and any other breastfeeding questions you have.
