Tomorrow is the day of the LLL of South Bend Family Picnic!  Pack a picnic lunch and join us at Potawatomi Park between 10-1 to visit and play with other LLL families! We are also doing a photo fundraiser for our local group--see the attached notice! Although each nursing couple is unique, one thing we know for certain is that all breastfeeding relationships change and progress as time goes on. At this week's morning meeting we'll chat about nursing our babies into toddlerhood, and all the amusing and at times frustrating things that go with it! These can be great opportunities to work on setting limits using gentle discipline. Respectful and gradual weaning is something we often think about at this stage, as well as dealing with questions of whether to continue nursing in public, and fielding questions and criticism from others. Airplane journey? Looking for summer activities right here in Michiana to enjoy with your babies and toddlers?  Summer adventures can bring new challenges when we're attempting them with our nurslings. And whether we go back to work after 6 weeks, 12 weeks, full-time, part-time, not at all, SAHM, WAHM, free-lancer, mompreneur, etc., we all struggle with balance and how to Make It Work.  At the next LLL morning meeting we'll share ideas of how we have done this and issues we haven't yet solved. How do you fit breastfeeding into your new lifestyle? Mamas and babies can't breastfeed alone! We need a support network of those closest to us to help us make sure we are cared for as we care for our babies. Dads and other Partners can protect us from criticism, keep us fed, help us get help if and when we need it, and be our biggest cheerleaders during tough times.
