St. Joseph County’s Breastfeeding Coalition

Join fellow breastfeeding advocates for some FRIENDLY COMPETITION and to hear the plan for Indiana to achieve BIG GOALS from our state breastfeeding coordinator, Tina Cardarelli.

5:30 – 6:30 Chili Cook-off. Lactation specialists compete to make the best comfort food since breast milk—chili! You taste, you vote. Just a buck a vote!

6:30—7:00 Do you know what Indiana’s goals are for breastfeeding and how St. Joseph County fits into the plan? Come find out as Tina Cardarelli shares a vision for Indiana!

7:00—7:30 Community Connect. Bring your flyers, business cards, questions, and quests to share with like-minded members of our community.

LLL Meeting: Starting Solids

Are you thinking about  starting   solids ? Wondering about how best to care for your own nutritional needs as a nursing mother? Dealing with a picky toddler or preschooler? Tuesday's morning meeting will be all about introducing first foods and encouraging nutritious eating as our children grow. Come with questions or experiences to share. We are thrilled to be able to show a short video on the subject that we made in collaboration with a video production class at Saint Mary's College--you'll see some familiar faces!! As always, we will have time for any breastfeeding questions, concerns, and successes you'd like to share.
