Taking Care of Ourselves!

On Tuesday we'll be gathering at the Women's Care Center to talk about ways to care for ourselves in ways that don't disregard the needs of our babies and toddlers. What are some successes you've found for safe ways to exercise, eat right, sleep enough, and bring baby along for the ride? We'll have some babywearing carriers to try and all kinds of ideas and strategies to share. (Even some ideas for how to get that elusive shower!)

As always, we will have room for your breastfeeding questions, concerns, and successes.

Nursing Rooms at Shedd Aquarium

After some renovations at Shedd Aquarium they now offers a nursing room. Until recently the nursing room was designated on the maps and at the door with a logo of a bottle. One of our local mothers was one of many who contacted the directors of the aquarium and happily they are in the process of changing the bottle logos to the international breastfeeding logo: Shedd Aquarium is located in Chicago and has regular free community days.
