Creating Breastfeeding Friendly Businesses

The nurse in today at Tony Sacco's was a huge success. There was a large attendance of families and the staff and management at Tony Sacco's were very positive and proactive in their response.


They reached out to both La Leche League International and our local La Leche League group to learn what they could do to fix the mistake made and to better train their staff.

We were welcomed in and they tried to be as accommodating as possible. The management also applied their fundraising program to the event and 20% of every purchase made by the group is going to LLL of South Bend.

This has been such a positive outcome for our area and breastfeeding mothers and we are so excited to be apart of it.

Nursing Rooms at Shedd Aquarium

After some renovations at Shedd Aquarium they now offers a nursing room. Until recently the nursing room was designated on the maps and at the door with a logo of a bottle. One of our local mothers was one of many who contacted the directors of the aquarium and happily they are in the process of changing the bottle logos to the international breastfeeding logo: Shedd Aquarium is located in Chicago and has regular free community days.
