BEAUTIFUL BABY CONTEST

We have extended our deadline to enter the Beautiful Baby Contest. Submit pictures electronically to sjcbeautifulbaby@aol.com or submit in person at the fair. We won't identify the babies but will give them numbers so you can let your friends and family know to watch for them. All babies under 2 are eligible. (Breastfed or not) Prizes include a stay at Innisfree Bed and Breakfast, gift certificates for body massage, a pedicure and a manicure and other gift bags.

Nursing Rooms at Shedd Aquarium

After some renovations at Shedd Aquarium they now offers a nursing room. Until recently the nursing room was designated on the maps and at the door with a logo of a bottle. One of our local mothers was one of many who contacted the directors of the aquarium and happily they are in the process of changing the bottle logos to the international breastfeeding logo: Shedd Aquarium is located in Chicago and has regular free community days.
