The best advice I ever
received for surviving summer with a toddler was to have your bag packed and in
the car waiting for you! My
emergency summer fun bag had water
bottles, granola bars, swimsuits,
a towel, sunscreen, bug repellent, one extra kid outfit, 2 diapers, a rain poncho (the disposable kind), a
sweatshirt , a kid hat and a grownup hat and a secret $20 in cash just in case.
If these things were already waiting for me in the car and the toddler
personality gods smiled on me then away we went! BUT if I had to gather this
stuff first forget it!
