World Breastfeeding Picnic/Big Latch On

 While there is no meeting this week because it is the 5th Tuesday of the month, we do have a very special event planned for next Saturday, August 3rd! We hope you'll join us for all or part of this fun morning in the park with other breastfeeding families!


La Leche League of South Bend
invites breastfeeding families to celebrate
World Breastfeeding Week
Where: Potawatomi Park 
500 S. Greenlawn Avenue
 South Bend, IN  
We reserved a picnic area between the playground and splash pad. Look for the balloons!
When: Saturday August 3rd
*10:00am Participate in The BIG Latch On!
Show your unity and support for breastfeeding with moms and babies around the world.

*11:00am Picnic!
Bring a picnic for your family and enjoy the super fun park with a splash pad and playground.
La Leche will provide treats.
*Families are welcome to come anytime during the celebration.

Nursing Rooms at Shedd Aquarium

After some renovations at Shedd Aquarium they now offers a nursing room. Until recently the nursing room was designated on the maps and at the door with a logo of a bottle. One of our local mothers was one of many who contacted the directors of the aquarium and happily they are in the process of changing the bottle logos to the international breastfeeding logo: Shedd Aquarium is located in Chicago and has regular free community days.
