LLL Playgroup & World Breastfeeding Month events!

Tomorrow is our Big Latch On and LLL Family Picnic at Potawatomi Park! (http://sbpark.org/parks/potawatomi-park/) We hope to see many of you there! There are other local events in celebration of World Breastfeeding Month, see below

We also want to remind you of our regular 1st Tuesday Playgroup at Parkovash Park (http://sbpark.org/parks/parkovash-park/) next week! We'll be there between 10 and noon next Tuesday, August 6. I hope you'll join your fellow Mamas for some informal chat time and play time for kiddos. And those of you with tiny babes or those still in utero, please know that this playgroup is for you too! Playgroups are for Mamas just as much as for children (if not more!)

August 3rd: 10am The BIG Latch On
                      11am  Family Picnic
Where: Potawatomi Park: 500 S. Greenlawn Avenue

We reserved a picnic area between the playground and splash pad. Look for the balloons.

August 8th 4-7pm: Mom’s Night Out
Where: St. Joseph County Public Library Main Branch
(Humphrey Room on the Lower Level) 304 S. Main St. South Bend
1st 100 moms will receive a free gift bag! Come enjoy fun door prizes and food!

August 17th Noon-8pm Art Beat www.artbeatsouthbend.org
Where: Downtown South Bend
Visit the Lactation Station for a comfortable place to nurse your baby or a diaper change!

Nursing Rooms at Shedd Aquarium

After some renovations at Shedd Aquarium they now offers a nursing room. Until recently the nursing room was designated on the maps and at the door with a logo of a bottle. One of our local mothers was one of many who contacted the directors of the aquarium and happily they are in the process of changing the bottle logos to the international breastfeeding logo: Shedd Aquarium is located in Chicago and has regular free community days.
