Come join us Tuesday evening 8/13/13 at 7 pm, River Park Branch library for a discussion on "Working and Breastfeeding".  All mothers work whether through taking care of your baby or through employment outside the home.  For mothers with separation from baby, there are challenges in pumping and storing milk.  For those staying home, there are challenges in how to manage an entire day with baby.  If you are experienced or new to breastfeeding, come share your thoughts, fears and encouragement.  Of course your baby is most welcome!

Nursing Rooms at Shedd Aquarium

After some renovations at Shedd Aquarium they now offers a nursing room. Until recently the nursing room was designated on the maps and at the door with a logo of a bottle. One of our local mothers was one of many who contacted the directors of the aquarium and happily they are in the process of changing the bottle logos to the international breastfeeding logo: Shedd Aquarium is located in Chicago and has regular free community days.
