Dear mothers and friends, In consideration of the state recommendations and the response of many of the public spaces, including some of those in which we hold meetings, La Leche League of South Bend has decided to postpone our regular in-person meetings. LLL Meeting: Sharing Our Stories

At the next La Leche League meeting we'll have an opportunity to think about and share our pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and mothering stories. As you know, every meeting lends itself to opportunities to listen and learn from each other, as often accompanied by tears as laughter. One of our former LLL Leaders, Krista Bailey, is involved in Michiana Monologues at IUSB ( http://www.michianamonologues.org/ ), and in hearing so many women's stories as a part of this production was reminded of the wonderful perspectives in the LLL community. She will be visiting with us this week to help us to think about the healing and enjoyable process of forming our own experiences as stories. LLL mtg-Sleep & Other Challenges!

At our next morning meeting we will be discussing that precious commodity for all parents--Sleep. There are as many sleep philosophies and set-ups as there are babies. Come share ideas of what has worked for your family, struggles you face, and an open heart for commiseration.  We have several books in the LLL library you may want to check out, including the brand new LLL book written by the women who brought you the most recent edition of "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding": "Sweet Sleep:Nighttime and Naptime Strategies for Breastfeeding Families". We're really excited about this book--it is so helpful and truthful in a way that no other sleep book has been brave enough to be before.
